Just when you thought the fair had gone south (literally) for good, along comes Memphest. Memphest is the city's newest fair and is being held at the Mid-South Fairgrounds. Like the Mid-South Fair before it, Memphest features food, rides, games, and concerts. What's missing, however, are the livestock, baking, and sewing competitions, reminiscent of a country fair.
