Labor Day is a federal holiday designed to honor the "working man." It is also recognized as a state holiday in all fifty states. It falls each year on the first Monday in September and is considered by many to be the unofficial end of summer. A lot of folks celebrate the holiday with cookouts, pool parties, and travel.
