Sure there are plenty of haunted houses and corn mazes to choose from in the Memphis area, but there are a number of other Halloween related events. Some are for kids, some are for adults, and some are for the whole family. So check them out and make plans to celebrate this most spooky of holidays.

Description: Elmwood, Memphis' oldest active cemetery, has plenty of spooky events in store for you this October including the Spirits of Elmwood dinner and tour, Funeral Folklore and Legends lunch and presentation, Evening Strolls through the grounds, the Costume Twilight Tour of the cemetery, and the All Hallow's Eve Tour.

Admission: $10 for members and $12 for non-members in advance, $12 for members and $15 for non-members at the gate
Description: Features a not-so haunted tour of Primate Canyon, a haunted hayride, magic shows, Dracula's Disco, and a straw maze. In addition, kids are invited to dress up in their costumes and trick-or-treat at the Zoo.
Location: Bob Hailey Athletic Complex, 8750 Farmington Boulevard in Germantown

Admission: $3.00 per person, per trail
Description: The festival offers two trails for goblins, big and small, to enjoy. The Trail of Terror will scare you silly while the Fairy Tale Trail will provide a fun and humorous experience. In addition, there will be concessions, free carnival games and moon bounces.
Location: Woodruff-Fontaine House, 680 Adams in Memphis
Dates and Times: October 29, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $10 per person
Description: Take a tour of the Woodruff-Fontaine house along with veteral paranormal investigators. Perhaps you will run into the ghost of Molly Woodruff Henning.
Location: Children's Museum of Memphis, 2525 Central Avenue in Memphis
Dates and Times: October 29, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Admission: Event is included with regular museum admission
Description: The second annual Monster Bash at the Children's Museum will include spooky crafts, a costume contest, and even a costume parade.
Location: Mud Island, 125 North Front Street in Memphis
