Guide Review - SNAP! 94.1
Never say never.
I'm not generally a fan of dance music, hip hop, or other genres with heavy rhythms. I prefer rocky ballads and sappy love songs. But occasionally I like to listen to something more upbeat, especially if I'm working out, cleaning house, or driving on a beautiful day.
So on one recent morning while mopping my kitchen floor, I turned on the radio, looking for music that I could really move to. While scanning through stations, I stumbled upon Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive. What a great song! I immediately quit scanning and resumed mopping, paying no attention to what station I was listening to. Soon after, Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out of My Head came on, which kept me going with it's upbeat rhythm.
As that song came to a close, a pleasant sounding disc jockey announced that I was listening to SNAP! 94.1, "The Rhythm of Memphis." I was surprised, having been so certain that I wouldn't care for this new station. Instead, I ended up listening to it for the rest of the morning.
While I don't listen to it all the time, I do tune in to 94.1 when I need a little pick me up. I still miss The Buzz, but have come to realize that sometimes change can be a good thing.
