According to the Centers for Disease Control
, 6.7 million women of child-bearing age in the United States suffer from an impaired ability to get pregnant. This is more than 10% of women in that age range. Keep in mind that this figure does not take into account the couples who are infertile due to male factor infertility.
Combine that soaring number of infertile couples with the fact that fertility treatments are becoming more and more successful with each advance in medical technology and it's no wonder that so many couples are seeking fertility specialists to help them achieve their family goals.

Alternative Medicine for Infertility
If you are looking for a more natural way to overcome infertility, these practitioners all treat both male and female factor infertility. Keep in mind that only limited numbers of research studies have been done to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative medicine on infertility. The results of the limited research does seem promising, though, and many fertility specialists are now recommending acupuncture to their patients.
