The Sound:

Though at first listen, Free Sol might be categorized as a hip hop group, it quickly becomes apparent that their sound is much more complex than that. Free Sol blends hip hop, funk, jazz, rock, and soul into a fun, eclectic sound that is uniquely their own.

The Band:

Christopher Anderson - Lead Vocals
Premo D'Anger - Keyboard
Kickman Teddy - Drums
Elliot Ives - Lead Guitar

The Performances:

In Memphis, Free Sol has been found playing at local favorites such as Newby's, Hard Rock Cafe, FedEx Forum, and even the Beale Street Music Festival. But Free Sol is making a name for itself across the country playing at venues and festivals such as The Milwaukee Summerfest, The Rock Boat "Floating Music Festival" (a Carnival cruise from Miami, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico), Tipitina’s in New Orleans, and the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado.

The Recordings:

Free Sol (2002)
Sex Love & Hip Hop vol. 1 (2003)
11:11 (2004)
The Thread Between (2005)

From Free Sol:

"Free Sol is a state of mind. It is a freedom of expression. And the musicians that make up this eclectic mix are the perfect embodiment of that expression."
