Memphis Events in July 2012

• 4th of July Events
  Celebrate your independence at one of the many 4th of July events going on around the Mid-South. Don't limit your celebration to the 4th, though. The festivities will begin as early as July 1st.
• Kidstown Consignment Sale
  Come to the Agricenter for great deals on gently used children's clothing, toys, and baby gear.

• Mud Island Summer Concert Series
  Throughout the summer months, Mud Island hosts a number of concerts at their outdoor amphitheatre. In July see singer/songwriter James Taylor.

• The Big One Flea Market
  The biggest flea market in the Mid-South is open one weekend per month (two weekends in December!) at the Agricenter. Admission is $3 for folks 13 and older.
  July 21-22, 2012
• Live at the Garden
  Each year, the Memphis Botanic Gardens hosts a series of outdoor concerts. This month, enjoy the soulful stylings of Seal.

• Farmers' Markets
  There are several large farmers' markets in the Memphis area providing fresh, local produce all summer long. In addition, you can find homemade jams, baked goods, crafts, and more.

• Memphis Redbirds Home Games
  Enjoy an all-American game downtown at the award-winning Autozone Park as the Memphis Redbirds take on a variety of rivals throughout the summer months.

• Orpheum Summer Movie Series
  Enjoy an old or a new classic on the big screen in the elegant splendor of the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets are reasonably priced, making this an inexpensive date night destination.

• Peabody Rooftop Parties
  Head to the top of the Peabody each Thursday for music, mingling, and fun.

• Pick Your Own Produce
  Late spring and early summer is the right time for picking your own produce. Various fields and orchards across the Mid-South offer strawberries, peaches, blueberries, and more -- ripe for the picking.
