During the course of the United States' War on Terror (including the Iraq War and Operation Enduring Freedom), more than 4,700 U.S. soldiers have been killed in action. Of this staggering number, several have been from the Memphis area. Below you will find the names of the local soldiers who have given their lives while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
