Guide Review - Jerry's Sno-Cones and Car Wash

Perhaps I am a little biased because I grew up right around the corner from Jerry's Sno-Cones and Car Wash. The fact remains, though, that I have never found a better snow cone than the ones Jerry serves up. While some snow cones have the consistency of crushed ice, Jerry's has the consistency of real snow.

They offer hundreds of flavor combinations including "Rainbow" for the indecisive; "Wedding Cake," which tastes amazingly like the real thing; along with all the usual suspects such as grape, cherry, watermelon, and orange. My personal favorite is coconut which is so sweet but tastes like coconut and not like artificial flavoring.

For the traditionalists, they also offer soft serve ice cream in a cone and in a dish. If you are feeling especially adventurous, however, you can get soft serve mixed into a snow cone for a "Supreme."

For me and hundreds, maybe even thousands, of other Memphians, summer just wouldn't be the same without the occasional trip to Jerry's. If you've never been there, try it. I know you'll love it.
