Guide Review - The Half Shell

I love The Half Shell. No matter what dish I order, I consistently find myself pleased with the quality, freshness, and flavor of the food. And while I love seafood and tend to choose shrimp or crab dishes, The Half Shell offers a nice selection of other entrees including chicken, steak, salads, and sandwiches.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is also pleasant. The lighting is dim and the tables are arranged in such a way that diners can enjoy a little privacy. Though jeans and khakis are perfectly acceptable attire at The Half Shell, one might want to avoid arriving in shorts, tank tops, or other very casual clothing. This makes it a nice spot for a date or after-work drinks.

During my most recent visit to The Half Shell, my husband and I enjoyed Rockefeller Nuevo (fried oysters in a Pernod cream sauce) for an appetizer and Crab-stuffed Jumbo Shrimp for an entree. The White Zinfandel went very well with our meal and the authentic Key Lime Pie topped it all off. It was truly one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever consumed.

For a nice meal that won't break the bank, you just can't beat The Half Shell.
