The Memphis Zoo is one of the city's most popular attractions and it's no wonder why. The zoo has been renovated extensively over the last couple of decades and is considered by many to be one of the finest zoos in the country. It is situated on 70 acres and boasts more than 3,500 animals.
Unfortunately, admission to the zoo can be costly, particularly if you are bringing the entire family. Currently, admission prices are as follows:
Adults (Ages 12-59): $15
Children (Ages 2-11): $10
Seniors (Age 60+): $14
This means that a family of four will spend more than $50 for a single day at the zoo. This is why many families find it much more economical to purchase a family membership to the zoo. For one annual fee, families may visit the zoo as often as they like with no additional charge. Parking is also free for members. In addition, zoo members can attend special zoo functions at discounted rates throughout the year. Membership prices are as follows:
Individual (one named adult): $45
Dual (one named adult and one unnamed person): $70
Family (two named adults and children 21 and under who live in the same household): $99
Grandparent (two named adults and grandchildren 21 and under): $99
If you purchase a dual, family, or grandparent membership, you can add an unnamed guest to your annual membership for $20. The Memphis Zoo also offers several upper level membership options which include extra guests and/or special events tickets.
