Memphis offers a great selection of New Year's Eve events to help you ring in 2009! From family activities to adult-only celebrations, here are some of the best:

A New Year's Eve bash just for kids ages 6-12, the Zoo Snooze is an overnight event. Kids will get a chance to take a moonlight "safari" through the Zoo, enjoy crafts and games, and countdown to the New Year with snacks and party favors.

This New Year's Eve Bash will feature dancing to the sounds of bop, swing, shag, and country at the Marriott Hotel off of American Way. In addition, attendees receive party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and breakfast at 1:00 a.m. In addition, those in attendance can book a room at the hotel for $79.00.

The Peabody Hotel's New Year's Eve Party will feature live music held throughout the hotel on three different stages. Bands include Lord T. & Eloise and Gabby Johnson. There will also be a balloon drop at midnight. Party attendees must be 21 years or older.

New Year's Eve on Beale Street will include live music at Handy Park and many of the Beale Street clubs, as well as fireworks, a countdown to the New Year, and a champagne toast at midnight.

For the second year in a row, fireworks will be launched from the roof of the Clark Tower in east Memphis.
