These days, the Neely name is most often associated with Pat and Gina, hosts of the popular Food Network show, "Down Home With the Neelys" and co-owners of Neely's Bar-B-Que. But it was a different Neely who launched the family's foray into the barbecue business.

Interstate Bar-B-Que was started by Jim Neely in the late 70's in a run-down grocery store on South Third. Today, Interstate Barbecue is considered by many to be the best in the city.
