Germantown Commissary

By Teresa R. Simpson, About.com

The Germantown Commissary is a restaurant housed in a converted 19th century country store. They serve up the usual barbecue fare including ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and barbecued chicken. Surprisingly, they are also well known for their deviled eggs. In business since 1981, Germantown Commissary has made a name for itself in the Mid-South and is usually packed -- particularly at dinner time.
