Want to make your dad feel special this Father's Day? Check out these father-friendly events and ideas going on in Memphis from June 19 through 21, 2009.
- Father's Day Zoo Snooze: Take dad on an overnight adventure at the Memphis Zoo. Dads and their kids will take a moonlight safari through the zoo, learn about animal fatherhood, and play fun games. The Snooze starts on June 19 at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $60 per person (non-members).
- Exotic Italian Car Show: If your dad loves cars, he won't want to miss the Exotic Italian Car Show being held on Father's Day at Germantown Municipal Park. From 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m., Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Porches, and many other exotic cars will be on display. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 3-10. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.
- Brunch at the Peabody Hotel: Treat your dad to a special feast at the Peabody. Brunch is served from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and champagne is available after 12:00 p.m. The Father's Day Brunch is $48.00 for adults and $18.00 for children ages 5-12. - Poker Playing Dads will be thrilled with a trip down to Tunica to try their luck at the casinos. Some of the casinos even have special Father's Day promotions going on all weekend long.
- Barbecue Dinner: Dads love barbecue so why not treat your father to some authentic Memphis-style ribs or pulled pork? With so many restaurants to choose from in the Memphis area, you won't have any trouble finding the perfect barbecue for Dad.
- Play Golf: Does your dad play golf? Spend the day on the green with him on one of Memphis' eight public golf courses. Just be sure to let him win!
