This week marked 45 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. During those decades, many things have changed in Memphis. Some are obvious, some are more subtle, and some are still works in progress. Race is still a hot topic in Memphis and racism still exists on all sides. Nevertheless, most of us happily share neighborhoods with, work with, and have friends of other races. Things have certainly come a long way.
But I want to know how far you think we've come. Has Dr. King's dream been realized? Or are we still moving toward the goal? Is racism still prevalent or is it a rare phenomenon among the ignorant? Vote in the poll below and let me know.
