The folks at Bass Pro Shops want to make sure everyone knows that they are in the Pyramid. They have put in an application with the Downtown Memphis Commission for approval on some very large signs. Specifically, they are asking for a 90'x66' Bass Pro logo on each of the Pyramid's four sides. This is far larger than the area's current regulations allow.
Personally, I kind of feel like a giant Bass Pro Shop isn't the first impression you want to offer people coming across the river. Then again, it's nice to have a business that is coming to Memphis instead of leaving it--so maybe we should let them have their signs. In any case, I want to know what you think.
