Get Out and Vote

Today is the big day. If you're like me and the majority of other locals who didn't come out for early voting, you'll want to make sure you get to the polls today. According to the Commercial Appeal, nearly 39% of voters turned out for early voting. That is an impressive number but it means that more than 60% of us still need to get out there.

In addition to the presidential election, house and senate seats are up for election, too. There are a number of local issues on the ballot, too. For example, you'll have a chance to vote on a county sales tax increase and a city gasoline tax. Many of the suburbs have important races going on, too, including those for Collierville mayor and Millington mayor.

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. If you're not sure where to vote, click here to find your precinct.
