We're getting close to the end of the month which means it's time for my husband to renew his tags. Since I work from home, guess who is tasked with this annual chore? Yep, I get to pack up the kids and go sit in the inspection line and then go to the County Clerk's office and stand in another line.
To be fair, the whole process is much quicker than it used to be. Since the city opened a new inspection station and stopped inspecting newer cars, inspection is a much quicker process. I remember when I could count on spending two hours in line. These days, it seems we're usually in and out in about thirty minutes. The County Clerk's office is still hit or miss regarding how long it takes to get through the line but overall, the process is much easier than it used to be.
Of course, no matter how quickly I get it done, it's still painful to part with the hundred-plus dollars every year.
