Elvis Ranch for Sale

I read this weekend that the Circle G Ranch in Walls, Mississippi is now for sale with an asking price of $6.5 million. For those of you who aren't up on your King of Rock and Roll trivia, the ranch is better known as the Elvis Ranch. Elvis Presley bought the ranch in 1967 and he and Priscilla honeymooned there after their wedding. In 1969, he sold the ranch but regained ownership when the new owners failed to make their payments. In 1973, Elvis sold the ranch for good.

One of the most interesting aspects of this story is that Elvis lost his original wedding ring on the grounds of the ranch shortly after he and Priscilla were married. Priscilla soon bought him a replacement ring and the original ring was never found. Perhaps whoever buys the ranch will have better luck finding the ring than the Presleys did.

The Circle G Ranch (the G, incidentally, stands for Graceland) is located on Highway 301, just south of Goodman Road in Walls.
