Elvis' Birthday Week Kicks Off

Monday January 5, 2009
If you've ever spent an August in Memphis, you are probably familiar with "Elvis Week," the eight day celebration that honors the King of Rock and Roll. Depending on how big of an Elvis fan you are, you may or may not be as familiar with the Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration, a four or five day mini-event to commemorate Elvis' birth. This year, the festivities will begin on January 6th and go on through January 11th, with the bulk of the events taking place on January 8th, Elvis' actual birth date. Celebrate by meeting up with other fans, taking special tours of Graceland, and even eating a slice of the King's birthday cake. Be sure to check out all of the Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration birthday events so you don't miss any of the festivities.
