Memphis and "The First 48"
Um, I fail to see the problem. Memphis is an out of control city plagued by crime.
But okay, I realize that those in charge would like to see Memphis portrayed in a better light. I have no problem with that. My problem is that pulling the city's participation from The First 48 is not the way to improve Memphis' image. That kind of logic suggests that if the nation doesn't see our crime problem, then it doesn't actually exist. Here's a better plan: let's improve our image by actually lowering our crime rates.
But tell us what you think? Did Memphis do the right thing by quitting The First 48 or does it make a difference one way or the other?

This article could not be more correct. I mean 100% correct. I moved here from nashville, and the crime stretches from the street thugs, drug dealers, car jackings and murders all the way into local govt. Currently the Feds are investigating the Mayor, and the former memphis state senator John Ford is now in a federal prison. The only joke is that they pulled the plug. I’m sure the mayor did it. He’s a Ray Naggan wanna-be and got tired of watching the number of murders being shown in this ghetto of a city.
Well i have lived in memphis my whole life and they are CRAZY. i am a firm believer in “running only makes you look guilty” and if memphis backs out of the show what does that look like… that they are all 100% what is assumed. we have one of the highest crime rates and std rates in the country
